DAY 3 KITTENS WITH MITTENS GIVEAWAY

On the third day of Giveaway - KITTENS WITH MITTENS. Mariet paints with thread, she creates the most beautiful embroidered cameos for her friends. You can see the love that goes into each gift. The stitch upon precise stitch, the sublime colour palette and the quirkiness of her characters.

Her dapper cats, foxes, pigeons and wolves remind me so much of childhood nursery rhymes. My all time favourite has always been Johnny Crows Garden, with the lion in his bow tie and bear in a stripey pant. Her work is a fond mix of contemporary and classic! Custom, personal and made to order!

I have said before how fussy I am about the birds heads and eyes that I draw, this little birdies head is perfection, a lovely roundiness with high cheeks and a tiny beak in just the right place!
