NADIA VAN DER MESCHT exudes a timeless grace and glamour but has her crafty hands firmly on the pulse of creative marketing and personal brand building. Many of you will be familiar with her blog Cupcake Couture which has undergone a lovely transformation, dusted with the same magic that Nadia applies to the web presence of her clients. NADIA's style journey is inspirational, from experiencing international luxe fashion, following her heart through to realising her personal design dream. A familiar face at the IHEART Market, Nadia has a wonderful eye for combining vintage found objects and trims to create objects of wearable beauty. Today's Giveaway is one of her splendid DIY GEOMETRIC BROOCH KITS, a fun and rewarding way to keep your fingers busy these holidays. Today's wonderful giveaway is not just a introduction to a great product but a call to change your life, even if it is in a small but transforming way. AYA BALM is a truly magical balm that harnesses the beauty and simplicity of nature to heal and soothe. It contains no preservatives and is free from petrochemicals. I love lip balm and have inadvertently applied all sorts of toxins quite liberally to my lips over the years, your lips being a veritable gateway to your body.
AYA BALM inspired me to replace the body and bath products (we have been using for years as a family) with eco and human friendly alternatives. It has been a fun process of experimentation and we recently even changed our washing powder which is quite something in a country where washing powder brands are practically a family tradition. AYA BALM is giving away 4 balms which means you can keep some for yourself AND spread the love and healing.

I have huge crafter's envy of artists who work with clay, it is one of the skills I would love to master. CARLA DA CRUZ is on my green eyed monster list of high admiration, a true craftsperson creating objects of quiet beauty. Her brooches have been a staple of my present sourcing forever and are loved by lovelies of all ages. For 12 Days Carla is giving away one of her deliciously bright bowls of polygonal musings. I love the use of masking tape to create the negative and positive patterns between the glaze. Skip quick sticks to her splendid blog TOKEN CERAMICS to keep up with what is new out the kiln. These bowls will be available at the last IHEART Market this Saturday, so make sure you scoop some up for yourself or for Christmas gifts (or both!).

Isn't she too beautiful. Each perfect little stitch. When I asked MARIET of KITTENS WITH MITTENS to take part in 12 Days I knew that we would be in for a treat. Each hand embroidered custom brooch is made with a loving attention to detail, thoughtfulness to the wearer and a warm sense of jaunty fun. This Swan is a treasure, a present day heirloom and I am a very touched by the generosity of spirit it carries with it. Made to be worn with love.

I have the cure for a gloomy Monday, Day 6 is a SKERMUNKIL day! I am a huge stan of Marietjie's work and wear one of her necklaces every day but this lovely lady makes many beautiful things beside her jewels. I was especially delighted by her collab with Marli Lyon for KAMERS and the porcelain cups that she made for the POTTERS MARKET. Marietjie is giving away one of her wonderful floral cups today, I love the secret message on it's base, adds a frisson of fear to the gentility of the Victorian posy. A rad start to your collection. Make sure you keep up to date with her work on EENDAG OP 'n REENDAG.
